1.
Please explain this whole music store thing!
In my store, you can download all single releases for .99 a pop.
Use a PayPal Account to pay for it, and the music store will send you a
login page and a temporary password.
Each
single is its own mini-event: You will get lyrics, genesis of the song, at
least 2 samples, and many times an alternate version. Make sure you
check the geek out section which describes the way in which the song was
created/recorded.

2.
How do I download a new release?
Well,
first you go to the music store, select the download you want, and add it
to your cart. Once you are ready to pay, you simply hit
"checkout." The store will re-direct you to the payment page.
It's that simple!
Once you receive e-mail confirmation of payment, follow the instructions
on that page. It will contain a temporary password for logging in and your
login page address. Use your e-mail and temp pass to log in and you'll
have 3 days to download your song. If you have any problems with
downloading, let me know via the store's
contact page.

3.
Wha?? I have to pay for the download???
You're kidding right? It's a dollar! This will not open up the
floodgates wealth-wise, but may help pay my operational bills. Support
independent music!

4.
Oh, well ok. That makes sense. But then, why so cheap? Do you need gas money?
Yes,
that's funny. My fan Justin once mentioned that too. But I want to keep it as
cheap as possible, and I am using ITunes as my model. Plus, I happen to
agree with Steve Jobs that record companies (not all, but most) are just
greedy. I think 99 cents is a great price for downloadable music.
But that being said, gas IS a million times more expensive in
California than anywhere else in the US, so I guess it goes to reason...(I
used to have a lot of teachers in school say that: "It goes to reason...")

5. Fair enough. How do I
pay for it?
Pay
for all downloads using PayPal.
PayPal, now owned by EBAY, is a free, easy to use and secure way of using
your credit card or e-check online.
6.
Do I have to have a PayPal Account? Do I need a credit card, or can I use
a check?
Yes,
you need to have a PayPal account and it's quick and easy to register.
Just fill out all the information on the account instructions after you've
checked out of the shopping cart and you can begin in minutes.
You will need either a credit card or a checking account to purchase a
download. Note, however, that checks take a few days for PayPal to process
(usually 3-5 days). Plus, also note that the Chance music store will not
send you your download instructions until the e-check has cleared.
All
credit card payments are INSTANT so you'll get to your download that much
faster.

7.
Are the samples and alternate versions free?
Absolutely.

8.
Ok, so I registered with PayPal and paid for the download. Now what do I
do?
Once you pay for the download, you'll receive a confirmation
e-mail from the music store. In that e-mail, you'll get a download log in
page and a temporary password. Use your e-mail you paid with and enter
along with that the temporary password supplied by the store. Then, you
have 5 days & 5 attempts to download your song.

9.
What if I accidentally delete the temporary password or, worse, what if I
can't completely download the song within the allotted time or # of times?
Sometimes people are busy. I totally understand.
If you do any of this, just contact me via the store's
contact page,
and I will regenerate your password. (You can also just reply to the store
e-mail that has all the instructions.)

10.
These songs are MP3, aren't they? What kind of MP3 quality are they?
I
was waiting for this one. How exciting!
Yes, they are MP3's.
The Audio is ripped from 44.1 16 bit mastered wav files at the following
settings:
MP3 (1); Bitrate minimum is 224 kbps Stereo Mode. Quality= Very High (q=0)
Output sample rate is 44100.
The bottom line is the downloads are a little larger file size but higher
quality. I want them to sound the best they can.
Note: all downloads are in a ZIP format, meaning you can use Winzip or
similar software to unzip your new MP3.

11.
Can I order a song on CD instead of downloading it?
Yes! As you'll see I have mini-compilations under the
CD section. Every 5 songs, I release them on CD and include new
mixes and/or re-mixes and/or surprises of some sort.^TOP^
12.
Will you sell these songs at shows?
All
of my CD's are available at shows. Multi-packs of 5 or more are an online
only discount.
^TOP^
13. Are these demos
that I'm downloading?
It depends on your outlook. I am an independent solo artist, so I don't
know if I'm really 'demonstrating' to anyone. Of course, I'm willing to
listen to anyone who is interested in
my music.
^TOP^
14.
Are you going to release them again if you get signed?
This is a big IF, so I guess the answer is maybe. IF I sign with a company
that shares my vision (ahhh, so THERE's the catch!), then I will definitely release some of them on
this label's sponsored CD release. But some may not make the cut, as any record I release in the future
will only have 10 songs (at least that's my dream). So, you run the
potential of having very exclusive recordings by downloading directly from
here. Also, some recordings will never be released anywhere but here, and
that will be by design.

15.
What about the ones you say are only available if I sign up to the message
board?
The ones that I will release to message board members will only be
downloadable from the message board on private posts. They, of course,
will be free. I might cover someone else's song, or just release an
alternate version or even something else completely different. It's an
open ended answer, I'm afraid. The easiest answer here is to just
register
on to my message board>>.
